Group Exhibition – “Rise And Shine” @ Arcade Gallery

Arcade Art Gallery is pleased to present « Rise And Shine », its first group show held in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. For our premiere show, we are proud to exhibit works from multiple established International Artists and introduce them to Taiwan. « Rise And Shine » features contemporary artists who encourage discussion on the present, and future direction, of the Graffiti & Street Art Movement. Their work showcases the raw essence of this genre via their bold compositions, striking colour palettes and forward thinking design choices. « Rise And Shine » is a curation of Artists who all share a similar vision and purpose; to demonstrate to Taiwan what is possible with their chosen art form. Jeff Soto – New Mural for POW! WOW! Taiwain

Jeff Soto recently made his way out to Taiwan for the second leg of the Pow! Wow! festival. As per usual, the American artist brilliantly renders the Grim Reaper, which is juxtaposed with a non primed background showing off the textured and original elements of the wall.

Hsiao-Ron Cheng – Various Illustrations

Hsiao-Ron Cheng is a Taiwanese digital artist/illustrator born in 1986. She started to work as a freelance illustrator in 2012 and soon get international attention. In the same year, her work has been shortlisted for Young Illustrator Award. Hsiao-Ron’s clients range from fashion brand to design agencies worldwide.

Chen Dao Lee – Taiwanese Realist Painter

Chen Dao LEE was born in 1982 in Taiwan. He obtained his MFA from the Department of Fine Arts (Masters degree) ,National Taiwan Normal University. Between the years of 2004 – 2009, he spent time developing his craft in LA, London, Paris, Beijing, Singapore, New York and San Francisco. Chen Tao has employed a strange way to rebel against new media’s intervention in the traditional art of painting, he allows his art to become extremely “Classic”.

Pow! Wow! Taiwan 2014

As you may know, POW! WOW! has branched out to a new event in Taiwan where dozens of street arts best invaded in the best way possible. With artists like MADSTEEZE, RONE, APEX and INSA to name a short few, you know it’s going to be a good one. Brandon Shigeta and Vincent Ricafort got some good coverage down for StreetArtNews.

Pow! Wow! Taiwan 2014

The people from Pow! Wow! Hawaii are now back with a new massive street art project bringing murals to the streets of Taiwan starting May 28th. Local artists from Taiwan will get the chance to paint with internationally recognized artists such as Aaron De La Cruz, Apex, Brendan Monroe, Graphic Airlines, INSA, James Jean, Jasper, to name just a few.
