Mikael B – New Mural for SHINE Art Festival

Mikael B recently unveiled his newest masterpiece completed last week as his contribution for the annual SHINE Art Festival in St Petersburg, Florida. Here’s what the artist says about there work:

“The belief that you can take any crazy vision and turn it into reality…I had this in mind when I created the mural “Inner Visions” experimenting with the warm the cold, the sharp the soft, the light the dark. All merged together as a vibrant energetic explosion bringing my canvas style alive as a large scale mural. With “Inner Visions” I want to keep dreams alive. Sticking with your vision and what you believe in is so important. When you have a vision it affects your attitude. Your attitude becomes optimistic.”

Shane O’Malley – Various Murals

Shane O’Malley began as a Graffiti writer and still paints walls, although his developing practice as an artist has led to a variance and evolution in the content of his murals. Street Art remains a central priority and passion to the artist. He has an extensive catalogue of Graffiti art and outdoor paintings, which he adds to on a regular basis.

Kelly Ording – New Mural in San Leandro, CA

Our friends over at Athen B. Gallery, just started a series of 4 walls with the city of San Leandro, CA. First up is Oakland Artist Kelly Ording. The mural is compiled of 5 different reds that break apart the bright blue background. The mural itself brings a lot of life into a neighborhood that lacks color.

Located on Arnerich Automotive Service who has been living and working on the same street he was raised on. We were excited to work with Kelly on bring some life into the local business such as Arnerich Automotive Service located at 14995 Farnsworth St. San Leandro, CA 94579. Zemer Peled – Ceramic Sculptures

Zemer Peled was born and raised in a Kibbutz in the northern part of Israel. After completing a BA (Hons) at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem she graduated with an MA (Hons) from the Royal College of Art. In recent years her work has been featured nationally and internationally in museums and galleries including Sotheby’s and Saatchi Gallery-London, Eretz Israel Museum-Tel Aviv and the Orangerie du Senate, Paris among others.

Zemer Peled’s work examines the beauty and brutality of the natural world. Her sculptural language is formed by her surrounding landscapes and nature, engaging with themes of nature and memories, identity and place. Her works are formed of thousand of ceramic shards constructed into large-scale/small-scale sculptures and installations.

C.J Hungerman – Visual Riot

C.J Hungerman is a fine artist who creates vibrant and eclectic painting work. Here is what the artist says about his artistic practice:

“I call my art Visual Riot. It is composed of patterned, kinetic, color chaos. The personal icons I create represent humans, human emotions, and their interaction. The layers, shapes, and color choices evolve into an electrified, surreal landscape that engages the viewer with new optic riddles each time the art is explored.

My studio is an old space void of ventilation, windows, heat, or air conditioning. I know that the extremes of my creative environment have a major influence on the direction of my art. The isolation and darkness of my studio has bound me to be as bright as possible in my art, with harmony and dissonance being constant companions.”

ColorOrgy – Various Works

Investigating the process of expectations, ColorOrgy explores the relationship of daily life with popular culture and mass media. Using clean lines and brilliant color theories to invoke nostalgia, he subtly asks the viewer to reflect on what lies beneath the surface using their own memories. Blending the aesthetics of middle class values with provocative imagery, ColorOrgy challenges everyday subject matter.

His paintings are characterized by the use of everyday objects in an atmosphere of middle-class mentality in which recognition plays an important role. By using popular themes such as sexuality, family structure and violence, he makes works that can be seen as self-portraits. Sometimes they appear idiosyncratic and quirky, at other times, they seem typical by-products of American superabundance and marketing. ColorOrgy parodies mass media and exaggerates formal aspects inherent to our contemporary society, creating evocative and absurd moments that are not part of a narrative thread. The drama unfolds elsewhere and the images become a memory of an event that will never take place.

Xomatok – Various Murals

Xomatok is a South American multidisciplinary artist who creates awesome abstract inspired fine art and murals. Xomatok’s mural work is vibrant, clean and utilizes the terrain in which its painted in brilliantly.

Sam El Greco – Street Art Geometry

Sam El Greco is an Argentinian graffiti and mural artist who creates killer abstract street art work. The Buenos Aires based painter uses vibrant colours and geometric shapes to illustrate new dimensions which jump off the wall.

Jason Woodside – Various Paintings

Jason Woodside is a visual artist born in 1982. Woodside attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he currently lives and works. Woodside has painted exhibited and painted murals all over the globe and some of his collaborations include names and companies such as Colette, ADIDAS, Obey Clothing and Faberge.

Eli McMullen – Various Paintings

Eli McMullen is a multidisciplinary artist who recieved his BFA in Painting & Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. McMullen creates brilliant landscape inspired abstract paintings which feature a vibrant colour palette and geometrical shapes layered over top one another with intense attention to detail.
